Story
About The Project
There are tons of film festivals out there in the world today, but this festival is specifically designed to spotlight young filmmakers and create a space where their work can be appreciated by fellow filmmakers, and the community at large. It's easy to become overshadowed by the more mainstream festivals like Cannes and Sundance, so creating this particualr festival gives a much needed voice to the next wave of filmmakers.
I started doing small film screenings at my aunt's bar in NYC (FISHBAR) and would invite my filmmaker friends to screen their work on a screen and get some critiques. After a while of successful nights, I decided to see what doing a film festival would be like, so I tried it one October night in 2012 and I got amazing results: https://vimeo.com/70571312
In 2013, I decided that I needed to make a unique film festival that would appreciate young talent and let the world know who to look out for! Hence, The 30UNDER30 FILM FESTIVAL was born.
