Cheerleader Karate School
Cheerleader Karate School is a supernatural, action drama starring a diverse female cast of martial artists. Not only will they bring laughs and drama, but well-done fight sequences. What we are doing has not been done before and we're looking for all the help we can to make it happen.

About The Project
We're looking to make a fun, diverse, female led supernatural action series and through teamwork and support we can make it happen!
The Story:
After relocating to Denton, TX following the divorce of her parents, Keegan Fox is just trying to get through the school year. Those plans go awry when she is pulled into conflict involving super powered martial artist cheerleaders against a multitude of evil demons, rampaging monsters and twisted human beings.
So what is Cheerleader Karate School?
Well first let me say that I love Buffy, Supernatural, Sailor Moon, Pretty Cure and Dragonball Z. I love Buffy and Supernatural for the fantastic stories and the diverse and ecclectic cast of characters. I love the anime programs for the balls to the wall action. I felt with CKS I could create something that was my love letter to those shows that I love as well as provide a new cast of characters and new stories for people to get behind. Those stories will have talented young women in the lead roles. Talented not just in their acting, but actresses with martial arts experience and training so they can bring a legitimacy to the fight scenes.
Sure there is a certain amount of cheese that comes with Cheerleader Karate School, but there is no reason in his mind that CKS can't have the cheese, the mysticism, fantasy and magic alongside bad ass ladies in bad ass fight scenes and action sequences.
CKS will take place in Denton, TX. My plan is to capture the sights and sounds of the Denton community as well as tie some of Denton's own ghostly stories into the show.
The Team
To that end I have gathered a cast of talented ladies to put in front of the camera. I continue to work on gathering a top notch DFW area crew behind the camera with the ultimate goal to film the first nine episode season of the series. Team members have years of experience from producing small indie productions on up to big studio films and network television shows.
I realize CKS will be a large undertaking not only to produce, but in marketing and promotion to get people to view the series. I know there is a very real change of failure but I believe in the story, the characters and everyone involved and will do whatever it takes to make it happen.
Creator Background?
I am a 10-year jounralism veteran and writer all my life. As long as I can remember my brother and I have been plotting out stories across every form of media there is and I'm just trying to make it all happen. CKS will not be my first indie series. I have already produced the mockumentary Dial-A-Ranger, two seasons of Party Girl:The Series and a few short films. All of these projects were been done with very little money, so trust me when I say I know how to squeeze every penny available and how to make the best use of it. I learned valuble lessons from my past productions, what to do, what not to do and I plan on applying those lessons to CKS.
Plan of Action
My plan was always to film the pilot and then go from there to get people to see it and hopefully see the potential in it and my heart and determination in making the show happen and hopefully find funding. Once I discovered Seed & Spark and the New Voice Rally, I saw it as chance to reach as many potential fans and contributors. The prizes offered are amazing.
Should we reach the $10,000 goal I will be able to pay the actors for work done in the pilot episode and fund the budget for the second episode. And with those two episodes, we can go about further fundraising for the show having two episodes worth of content to show potential investors just what CKS can offer.
Even if you cannot support us at this time you can still help us and help the series out by sharing the link to this page with others who may be interested in it. A share on social media, forwarding on an e-mail blast or just telling someone directly about it, anything that helps spread the word about the show can help us meet the goal.
It's all about grass roots effots to make CKS happen!
