Story
About The Project
Clench is a great passion project of ours. AGMx (Shiree Nicholas Christopher), the writer/director, has been holding onto this story for a while now, waiting for all the stars to align. And the moment is finally here! With a fantastic cast and crew (most hailing from Howard University #HU #YouKnow) this story is ready to be told with the creativity, dark humour, and heart it's been waiting for.
This particular story hit a chord with us because it's a character study on how we, as a people, try to escape life problems through self-destructive means. As we continue to see people cut their lives short, develop addictions, and self-harm, it's stories like this that purposely craft absurd situations to tell honest truths. It's a destined-for-greatness film that can succesfully use humour as a way to digest serious subject matter.
Creatively speaking, this film is going to be BANANAS because we're also unapologetically bold in our style. With exposing dialogue reflective of Tarantino and cinematography that finds the audience as voyeurs, this film aims to go big or go home. After all, a story about self-loathing and reservation deserves to be filmed with tons of love and artistic exploration.
Clench's premise is about hiding, but the making-of-Clench is about shining, artisitcally and fearlessly. We'd love for you to be a part of our journey!
