The Story

Cross River Reunion is a half-hour comedy series that follows the story of Ikpe "Ike" Etim, a Nigerian-American businessman, and Idoteyin Udom, his globe-trekking Nigerian cousin, as they navigate corporate America. The mingling of cultures, family dynamics, an outspoken Mom, and global mindshare makes Cross River Reunion not just a show but a relatable, powerful movement for a new generation of Americans. For those looking to find our common ground. For those looking to find their community. For those looking to "cross the river" to find themselves.
Cross River Reunion is in the proof of concept stage - full production of the first 10 pages of the pilot script which will be used to pitch to production companies, networks, distributors and investors. Our destiny is to be on a streaming service that can distribute Cross River Reunion across the U.S., U.K. and African markets. The proof of concept production budget of $15,000 includes pre-production, talent, crew, gear, insurance, and post-production. Get caught in the current and "cross the river" with us - become a part of the community!
A word from the creator, Alex Ubokudom:
Attaessien Ubokudom, my father who passed away February of 2015 was full of stories that he shared with me. Stories of family, life in Nigeria, his struggles and triumphs and ultimately moving to the US were and are a constant source of inspiration. Attaessien also talked about Nollywood, Afrobeat and the cultural renaissance of modern Nigeria. He wanted me to find a way to become a part of it - and in his own wise way, must have seen this as a connection to my own heritage. Attaessien planted that seed and Cross River Reunion is the result of his influences (there were so many). Not only did I find my voice, but I found a way to share my father’s story too.
