Headshots explores our current obsession with vanity. It peels back the glossy image we all try to present to the world and reveals the painfully funny truth underneath. Our rotating cast of quirky characters allows us to poke fun at every level of society.
Inclusion StatementHeadshots is character-driven, episodic series that allows for the casting and inclusion of people from all walks of life. We plan to continue casting with diversity in each and every season.
About The Project
Headshots is the flagship series for Fish Suitcase, a collective of five writers and filmmakers committed to making content that is both hilarious and thought-provoking.
The show is set in a photography studio, and each episode is a self-contained character study of one of the studio’s customers. The customers come from all walks of life and have all manner of quirks, hang-ups, and emotional baggage.
The Fish Suitcase team has worked hard to refine our writing and production process so that the characters featured in Headshots will feel timely and fresh. Our goal is to tackle issues that our audience will recognize from their news feed, and poke fun at the vanity and "thirstiness" of the social media age.
At its core, Headshots is about the gap between the glossy image we present to the world and the truth about who we really are. It’s about those breaks between poses, when we let down our guard and allow our raw humanity to shine through.
