With two seasons, twelve episodes and over 50 awards, nominations and official selections under our belt, the History boys need your help to bring you a heartstring-tugging third season. To make that a reality, our volunteer workforce needs some financial support.
Inclusion StatementHistory, the tentpole show of Necessary Outlet Productions, exemplifies our mission statement--Gay Characters, Universal Content. Our goal is to accurately portray the contemporary lives of LGBTQ people in story arcs that focus not on their sexuality or identity, but on their humanity.
About The Project
A year after the events of season two, change is in the air for the History boys. Jamie (Jack Tracy), William (Will Cohen) and Matthew (Jacob Seidman) each find themselves in serious relationships on the brink of a "next step." While Mark leans on Jamie to be more sexually adventurous together, Kevin has asked William to move in together while Jacob and Elias have already rented the U-Haul. But change brings tension, and worried that his friends are making bad decisions, Jamie must confront that what may not be good for him isn't necessarily bad for others.
But at the heart of season three is each character's exploration of what love is--for them. Continuing History's format of juxtaposing present day events with formative moments from the past, the show jumps all the way back to Jamie's childhood to illustrate the key example of love that imprints on all of us--that of our parents.
While exploring how his heterosexual parents' example in his youth has influenced his views on love, loyalty and relationships as a 30-something gay man today, Jamie is also faced with is greatest fear--that he might be becoming them.

About This Team
To date, History has been blessed with a 100% volunteer cast and crew and all proceeds from History have been donated to LGBTQIA charities.
Jack Tracy is the creator and star of History, with the events therein loosely based on his own personal experiences. Jack is a NYC-based attorney by day, content creator by night. Executive Producer of Necessary Outlet Productions--Gay Characters, Universal Content--Jack has created "History", "Millennial Memoir" and "Big Law", with his debut album "Older" and first feature "Snowflake" set to debut later in 2018. He hopes to become the Tyler Perry of the LGBTQ.
(uh, but isn't Tyler Perry...that is unsubstantiated, so be quiet)
Season 3 will see the return of fan favorites William Cohen (Will), Jacob Seidman (Matthew), Carissa Fales (Catherine), Bianca Lyn (Bianca) and Connor Lounsbury (Gio, season 2).
All twelve episodes (6 hours) of History were shot, mixed and mastered by Jack Tracy with the help of volunteer crew--as in, off screen actors and coerced friends. Funding season 3 gives us the opportunity to not only finally compensate our hard working actors, but actually assemble a professional film crew and post-production team.
