HOUSE OF MAYHEM will be directed by award-winning filmmaker Henry Alberto, and produced by Asher Lewis who’s work has been recognized with an Emmy nomination and has receieved two Telly Awards.
HENRY ALBERTO (Creator, Director) was born and raised in Miami, writer of the award-winning She Kills He, which aired on MTV’s LOGO, and was voted “Best Short Film” by viewers. It screened at international film festivals including Rhode Island International, Outfest, and Frameline, while the Miami Short Film Festival awarded it “Best Local Film”. He wrote and directed the short film Rubber Duckie, which screened worldwide, and was recently released by Artiztical Entertainment. He directed the short film My Best Friend, Ben, which premiered at ICM Partners and is currently being screened at various festivals.
His latest directing venture, the experimental feature Hara Kiri was recently acquired by Breaking Glass Pictures (US), and Salzgeber & Co. (DE) and will make it's world debut at the New Orleans film festival. Recent producing credits include Sprout, which he co-wrote and premiered at the Cleveland International Film Festival, as well as Whittier Boulevard whose story centers on André a 17-year- old transgender male Latino.
Henry is an alumnus of the prestigious Outfest Screenwriting Fellowship, and mentor of Outset: The Young Filmmakers Project by Lifeworks and Outfest.
DAVID PUMO (Creator, Writer) is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of Arts-Film and Television, and Brooklyn Law School. For seven years he directed a legal and social services project advocating on behalf of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender teenagers who are homeless, living on foster care, or involved in the juvenile justice system.
He is currently the Managing Director of Gato Flaco Productions, and writer of a regular column covering the New York theater scene, White Hot-What’s Hot on the Great White Way, for Theatre and Performance, a London-based magazine and website. His first full-length play, Love Scenes, has played to audience and critical acclaim at multiple venues in New York (Best Actor/Director, Fresh Fruit Festival), Los Angeles, San Francisco (Best of Fringe), Chicago, Dublin, London, Las Vegas, Fort Lauderdale, Fire Island, and aboard Atlantis Cruise Lines.
His second play, Auntie Mayhem, won an Off-Off Broadway Review Award for Excellence, was nominated for GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) award, and Innovative Theatre award. Auntie Mayhem was published as part of Martin Denton’s anthology, Plays and Playwrights.
ASHER LEWIS (Producer) has been privileged to have his work recognized with an Emmy nomination and is the recipient of two Telly Awards.
With over ten years broadcast and feature experience working as a producer and editor in Los Angeles, he has had the great opportunity to work with some of the largest companies and talents in the industry, such as having been honored to showcase his work with Mr. Bob Iger of The Walt Disney Company and the late Mr. Steve Jobs. His documentary work has highlighted some of the most visionary individuals in their medium, such as with char•ac•ter a film dialogue about the life and craft of acting between longtime friends an colleagues Mr. Dabney Coleman, Mr. Harry Dean Stanton, Mr. Peter Falk and the late Mr. Sydney Pollock.
He is currently producing and editing Out Of The Box, the six-part, six hour documentary series profiling the history of LGBT people and images on televisoin. Additionally, Mr. Lewis is currently in production with his first personal film, Closet Doors, (Henry Alberto, Director) a provocative new documentary delving into an aspect around LGBT coming out coversations that have never before been shared.
RILEY HINRICHS (Co-Producer) emerged from the tundra of Minnesota 9 years ago, and has been graciously working in film and video production for almost a decade having worked in Texas; Pennsylvania; Las Vegas; Wyoming; San Francisco; and much of Southern California. He has thus far succeeded at leaving no stone unturned in every capacity of production.
