About The Project
Artful digital storytelling is at the heart of The Lives of S. D.S. and Kara joined forces on this project with a common passion for telling the best stories possible in the ever-changing digital landscape. Together, with his experience in digital media and hers in feature films, they aim to create a high-quality short-form dramatic series and deliver it in the ways audiences experience stories online. This is the pilot episode of that series.
The series explores the moment in a young person’s life where they must navigate the tension between innocence and worldliness; that exciting, yet frightening time when we leave the nest to pursue our dreams. As a young adult interested in fashion, music, and sex, Suzy is driven by new experiences, seeing things she’s never seen before, and adding to her collection of stories. We are inspired to share her stories in new ways online, because like Suzy, her audience is digitally saturated and diversely connected.

About This Team
D.S. Moss - Creator / Writer-Director Episode 1
D.S. Moss is a screenwriter and new media creator with over seven years of experience in digital storytelling and distribution.
As a writer, Moss began to explore convergent storytelling techniques and employed them in his immersive play, “Shoeless, or: The Advantages of Never Knowing Exactly Where You Are,” as well as the pioneering digital series “Proper Ollie,” distributed by ON Networks. Moss realized early on that emerging technology provides incredible possibilities for imaginative storytelling and has continued in this path working for companies such as NBC and HBO.
Kara Baker – Executive Producer
Kara, a former talent agent turned producer, has a track record of producing successful independent feature films. Her two films The Winning Season and The Art of Getting By both screened at Sundance and opened theatrically world wide.
