Story
About The Project
LARPing (Live Action Role Playing) is the thing that changed me & I believe it has the potential to be the thing that changes the world.
It was a revolutionary experience, the ritual of being driven into the mountains of Northern New Jersey, once a month, for twelve years, to pretend to be a hobbit for three days at a time; it guided me towards many skillsets now permanent fixtures in my professional and personal life, it emboldened my core and introduced me to things I'd not find elsewhere combined.
Often the hobby is ill represented in the media -- mocked in a decrepit way, enveloped in old pop cultures vitriol for the American nerd; finding laughs and plotlines in the wrong places in an activity that has humour and dramatics abound. This is not what we will be doing. LARPing is an incredibly complex and enjoyable hobby practiced worldwide, and our show will detail a very particular subset of the global LARP community.
Simply enough, we want to make a comedy -- we've heard that we should write what we know, so we did just that... and we're confident in our ability to translate the beauty of live action role playing into the muggle world.

About This Team
ROBERT PAUL VERDI is Showrunner -- writer, editor and director of the show. He's been a LARPer for twelve years and a media professional for four. Both proficient in sword fighting and video editing, he has had a lifelong romance with the written word and is so very excited to go on an adventure with you. Robert is a thesis student at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and 'neverland,' is his final year project -- though he plans on walking this road for as long as it goes, and maybe following it down a poorly marked path in the woods if need be.
PAT HAND is an Executive Producer and Co-writer -- he's been a LARPer for half of his life and carries a sword with two edges.
RICK COOK is our Director of Photography -- not a LARPer, but a camera adventurer, creating beautiful images all across the United States for many, many different clients. A sweetheart from New Jersey with eyes comparable to that of an elves.
