About The Project
In the distant future, intergalactic bounty hunter Jayden Jaxon partners with ex-cop Mac Cole to track down a psychotic killer for a generous fee. When their search brings Jayden back to his hometown, the ghosts of his past haunt every corner of New Manhattan. To make matters worse, another bounty hunter is hot on their trail.
With New York 2150, I wanted to tell a story I connected with and build a realistic sci-fi world with my own aesthetic style. I’ve always been interested in new technology, space, science and psychology, and I wanted my series to explore all of these subjects. I have never done a project on this scale before: designing a new world, its bible, and communicating these aspects to my dedicated cast and crew. I am still working with many artists all over the world to help me bring this vision to life.
In addition to his bounty hunter arc, Jayden also struggles with returning to a place where he doesn’t feel welcome and doesn’t want to revisit. Roaming the streets of New Manhattan triggers memories of his lost love and a pain that he has a hard time suppressing. Jayden’s personal struggles interfere with his professional goals. Who hasn’t experienced that?
I have lived in New York for a few years now. Every time I go back to Paris, my hometown, little things would trigger flashbacks and flood my heart with nostalgia. Letting go of the past and the pain of lost love are universal themes I wanted to include in my first film.
Making this pilot with this team was a great experience, but our journey has just begun. New York 2150 is an introduction to a story that will hopefully span three eight-episode seasons.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Harry Assouline is a digital artist, writer and director, originally from Paris, France now working in New York City. After studying modeling, animation, special effects and filmmaking at Georges Melies School, Assouline worked on advertisements, films, and music videos in Paris and later Florida. While working for Duran-Dubois, Assouline worked as a Flame Artist on ad campaigns for Lipton, Axe and Orange, a Trace Assistant on the movie Empire of the Wolves, and a Special Effects Artist on the TV show Le Triporteur de Belleville. He also wrote, directed and produced commercials for Cafpi.
In 2014, Assouline graduated from the Screenwriting program at the New York Film Academy. Since relocating to New York, Assouline has worked as a director, writer, editor, director of photography and on visual effects for music videos and short films. He has also written original screenplays.
Currently, Assouline is in post-production on New York 2150, an original sci-fi action-comedy short film that he wrote, produced and directed.
ABOUT THE CAST:
Kalen J Hall / Jayden Jaxon
Originally from Jamestown, NY, Kalen J Hall studied at the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. Shortly after, he relocated to New York City, where he has honed his skills as an actor on stage and in film and television.
Hall’s recent credits include the indie short Kidnapping of a Fish (Tribeca Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival), the original off-Broadway production Olivia’s Roses, and the Arthur Miller play All My Sons at the Brecht Forum.
Marcus Brandon / Mac Cole
Actor/writer/director Marcus Brandon studied screenwriting at Georgetown University. After relocating to New York City, he studied acting at The National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts and is currently training with renowned coach Anthony Abeson.
Brandon’s recent credits include The Messiah Complex, off-Broadway productions of Line and Elvis People, Shay Roman’s television pilot The Basics, the acclaimed Fringe Festival play The Stella, and the titular role in the off-off Broadway production Othello.

Born and raised in Aberdeen, Maryland where he performed theater throughout school, Robert Taylor recently graduated from Towson University.
New York 2150 will be one of his first roles on camera.
Jason Russell / Dr. Connor
Brooklyn native Jason Russell studied acting at the Henry Street Settlement and at various theater programs he attended while in high school and college. His early work includes an appearance in the short-lived TV show Manhattan Diaries.
Russell’s recent credits include the independent films Dirty Shield, Cigarette Soup and Artificial Heaven and the off-Broadway plays Lone Star / Laundry and Bourbon and Life is Short Cherish Every Moment.
Dana Weddell / Mia
Dana Weddell is an actor/singer/writer currently based out of Philadelphia, PA. She is a proud graduate of the Fordham University Theatre program and vocal student of Dr. Linda Carroll.
Recent film/TV/commercial credits: Vinyl (dir. Mark Romanek), Dream (dir. Soon M. Seo), The Night (dir. Yudho Aditya), and Broon (Henes USA).
