About The Project
OR DIE TRYING is a testament to the countless women in film. We, the creators, are active women in the film industry not just on screen + in the series, but in our real lives. We don't "ask for permission," we fight for our dreams daily.
The countless struggles we have faced as millenials in Hollywood have inspired us to create a story that is raw, real, and relatable for the young women who come out to California with a dream of making it in LA. This one is for the artists, the fighters, and the dreamers.
We are not only looking to raise 25K to shoot eight 8-9 minute episodes this summer/fall, but we are also looking for creative collaborators like you to join the conversation about women in film. By contributing to our team, be it financially or by loaning your talents, you are making a difference and joining a movement that is bigger than all of us. We want to see more women both in front of and behind the camera, and this is one way that we can do so that is effective, poignant, and meaningful to everyone involved. And that starts with just one post or $1 at a time.
The four of us have spent countless nights brainstorming, collaborating, writing, researching - you name it, we've done it - in order to make this project the best that it can be. The scripts are locked and ready to go, and we know that you will love the story as much as we do. Check out our trailer to see what we are capable of!
OR DIE TRYING represents all of the resilient women who are judged not only by their talent, but also by their age, race, gender, "look," and social following. We represent every girl who has moved to Los Angeles with her car stuffed to the brim with hope & courage. We represent the women who make connections to create & collaborate, and who hope to build something bigger than themselves. We represent the women who work three jobs to barely make rent, but are just happy and grateful to be in the center of creativity here in Hollywood. We represent the women with a story that they are burning to tell.
