Mission Statement
The Story
DTH Films has been committed to working like a production company and offering multiple films a year for the last five years. In the past, we were working at a student film and ultra-low budget independent level. After taking a year off to regroup and reevaluate what our core audiences want and expect, we wanted to re-establish who we are as filmmakers by operating at a professional level while still working with students so they can gain the experience needed to make it to the next level. Everything we made was for less than $500. While we made our films look like they cost way more, the next thought is obviously, "how much better could these films be if they were made with more money?" There are two films we want to make this year to push us to the next level as filmmakers, branch out to new audiences, and keep our core values of making original, fun, and inventive content.
SELFIE
The film follows Claire, an upcoming social media influencer who gained fame by dating rising heartthrob, Will Summers. The two intend to attend the grand opening of a new Selfie Museum where many other influencers will be in attendance as a networking opportunity. Ofcourse, living this new lavish lifestyle comes with fans, fortune, but also... enemies. Reports warn Tinseltown of a possible serial killer on the loose targeting those of social media fame. When Claire’s dark, pre-fame past is threatened to be revealed by a catfish that she suspects is the killer, she must go into action to survive the terror that lies behind her own mask she has hidden behind for years.
This film picks up the satiric conversation that hearkens back to the 90s slasher craze started by films such as SCREAM, I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER, and URBAN LEGEND. There's a lot to be said about social media, it's effect on millenials, and playing on it to create something unique while using the framework of a fun style of film that needs to be revitalized after it lost its luster more than a decade ago.
To make this movie a reality, we need to acquire the proper locations, equipment, a stunt coordinator for safety, props, and makeup effects. It all requires your invaluable support to take you on a fun ride and scare the hell out of you.
Our core cast consists of real influencers and working actors in Hollywood. To level up from our previous endeavors, we didn't want it to look like another student film, so we went out of our way to get SAG-AFTRA certification and find amazing talent!
This film aims to be scary, bloody, hilarious, and jam packed with plenty of twists and turns!
CAN'T DANCE CREW
Lula, completely void of any dancing talent whatsoever, enters a dance competition as a choreographer to compete in the UCR Shake Off. Since she'll be graduating, it's her last chance to make it on the stage she's always dreamed of being on. Her good friend Tommy offers to help her put together a crew of underdogs who she believes has the potential to really put on a show that could be something special. However, she'll be going against Tanya and her crew Team Sapphire, known around campus as the most fierce dance team.
We loved the idea of taking the Step Up franchise but giving them the comedic style of Dodgeball, Hot Rod, and Fired Up! This film offers many unique challenges that we're excited to tackle, such as choreography for a huge cast in front of dozens of extras. The final dance sequence in this film is by and large the biggest sequence in a film we have ever put together!
It'll require weeks of rehearsal, dozens of lights, and carefully planned out coordination to capture it all within the time constraints allowed by a filming day and whatever location we lock down.
We sought amazing dancers who had an equal amount of experience in acting. To put together the cast was tough but a challenge we enjoyed, especially forming both main dance teams that are featured in the film.
This film is filled with heart, laughs, and a genuine passion for the arts.

Dallas Harden
(CEO/Founder of DTH Films, co-writer & director of Selfie, co-writer/co-director of Can't Dance Crew)
Since 2014, he has been producing over a dozen short films, finding new talent, and creating his own projects as an editor, writer, and director. Winning multiple awards at film festivals over the years, including an award as a playwright, Dallas continues to lead the way as burgeoning filmmaker in the Inland Empire. While working at UC Riverside for the Theatre, Film, and Digital Production department, he guides students to success with their films and helps out on any film related projects as a sound mixer, an editor, and as a director.
Irais Cardenas

Actress, photographer, cinematographer, and director, Irais grew up in Culver City next door to Sony looking over the walls always wanting to work on the backlot of a major film production studio. She made her own short films as a kid and went to school at UC Riverside to pursue her dream. She made several short films and quickly became a star pupil of the program. Her charm and enthusiasm holds any group together.
Jeremy Garcia

Jeremy has worked as a screenwriter and supporter of DTH Films for many years, offering his wisdom on character motivation, plot advances, and solidifying a tone. His passion for horror films and love stories has encouraged him entertain others with his films with scares and romance. He is currently pursuing his Masters Degree at USC for Counseling.
Mina Vazirian

When it comes to the logistical end of filmmaking, this young woman is your go to! Her attention to detail and love for producing makes the pre-production end go by quickly and smoothly. Producing is defintely not her only superpower, as she is an incredible on set asset as a grip, set designer, and more!

Jordan loved the script for Selfie so much that she wanted to audition for the film, which landed her the role of Claire, while still covering her producing duties on Can't Dance Crew.
