A tale of an up and coming assassin in a COLOR POP Neo-Noir world!! A lesbian named Kirsten, age 25. Our anti-hero is never the victim and never out for revenge. Just your average Jane - who happens to kill for money.
'Kill Bill', 'The Villainess', 'What Happened to Monday' , 'Deadpool' and 'Kickass.'
Entertain. It's fun, fast-passed, full of music and wild color. Expect DECEPTION. Remember to not take it so seriously. It's still a comedy after all.
Prove that women of any age and race are strong, fierce and capable fighters. HIRE a cast/crew of over 50% women of all ethnic backgrounds.
Kirsten: 25, Assassin
Alina: 22, Girlfriend of Kirsten
Max: 30, Mentor and Partner to Kirsten
Daniel: 32, Kirsten's Hit
This is Anna Lynn Holmes first short film. She graduated from Hofstra University with a BFA in theater. She is currently a kickboxing instructor in NYC.
FIRST PERSON: My experience auditioning for film has been a superficial and soul sucking one. More often than not the female characters are props for the main male character. The women are stuck in the uninspired tropes of 'the gorgeous girlfriend,' 'the stunningly beautiful but dorky friend,' and 'the prostitute.'
I have been extremely disheartened with the lack of diversity for young female actors. So you know what I said, NO. I'll write the stories I want to tell, on my terms.
I was galvanized to write this action Neo-Noir by films that feature badass independent women. There is real truth in creative pieces that are authentic in their representation of women: strong, fierce, sexy, intelligent....EVERYTHING a human being can be and is.
We hired a wickedly talented crew of women making over 50% of our whole crew. Please check out there bios on the team page and extra fancies on our website.

Where Does The Money Go???
Most everyone on this project is a struggling young artist in NYC forging their way out of debt from college. We are unable to survive in NYC and finance our creative projects without the generosity of others. Your contribution is invaluable to our growth as artists and to this project. WE HOPE WE HAVE YOUR SUPPORT because we REALLY REALLY want to show you this movie, it looks stunning if I do say so myself.
So thank you for taking the time to watch and read our campaign, we would love to show you what these characters are really made of! Help us make 'Silly Rabbit'.
