Did you experience favoritism growing up? Has it caused trauma to family relationships? No matter what your situation has been, you are God's favorite and He desires a relationship with you. Help us to take this powerful message of God's unconditional love to as many theaters as possible.
Inclusion StatementThe Favorite has a diverse cast with over half of the twenty-seven cast members being either a minority, female, elderly, or disabled.
About The Project
The Favorite is inspired by events that took place in Luke Bernard’s life after a near-fatal car accident which resulted in a “miracle” of healing. Luke walked out of the hospital to the amazement of his doctors and nurses after his parents were told not to expect him to live.
Luke suffers from insomnia because of his brain injury. One evening, after being released from the hospital, he fell asleep and had a vivid dream of the story which has become the script, The Favorite.
The script is about Luke’s own physical and spiritual transformation as told through the story of two brothers. The movie focuses on the family dynamics which result in false perceptions of who family members are in relationship to each other. The Favorite is the story of one distanced and agitated son, hurt by what he perceives as favoritism given to his younger brother, who then vents his anger through Mixed Martial Arts fighting. The result is that he injures the very people he loves the most.
What We Need
The funds raised will be used in mulitple areas in marketing The Favorite for movie theaters. There is a pie chart below to have an understanding of the disbursement of funds raised.
What You Get
Every little bit counts, and we want to personally thank each and every one of you for your contributions. When you support this campaign, you have the opportunity to receive a wide variety of perks that show our sincere appreciation. Some of the perks include: a personal shout-out on the Facebook page, signed paintings of stars, or even an assistant producer credit for The Favorite!
The biggest perk is that you will be part of a life-changing movement as people go and see The Favorite. Through your contribution, more people will be able to see The Favorite and know that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. The main and most important perk is that people can come into a relationship with the Lord by knowing He loves them just as they are.
Movie theaters serve as powerful platforms because of their ability to reach a widespread audience. The Favorite is an unique and diverse story needing to be told; however, we can't do it without your help!
Unfortunately, theaters are also an expensive platform. In order for people to see the message of God's love, we will need to pay for marketing to get into theaters. This includes radio, TV, print ADs, print posters, social media AD's -- the list goes on and on.
Other Ways You Can Help
In order to reach our goal, we will need as many supporters as possible. In addition to contributing to the campaign, sharing the link to the campaign via social media will help to spread the word about this important story.
