Inclusion StatementFor this project, we made it a point to focus on inclusion and diversity with all of our leads being PoC and over 50% of both the cast and crew either being women or PoC. This film also includes both Youths and Seniors.
About The Project
The Interview is a film about a young man pursuing business success who, during a life-changing interview, comes face to face with the realization that he has lived a mediocre existence and lost sight of what is most important in life. He suddenly has to explain a lifetime of casual choices that will decide his very future.
Audiences should support this film because it has an important and meaningful message that will leave everyone thinking about their own life and changes they may wish to make to honor relationships and live more in alignment with their passion.
Independent films like this are not likely to be made without funding from audiences. We need more films like this that cause the audience to reflect on their own life as opposed to many commercial movies that are big on entertainment value yet short on lasting impact. By supporting this film, audiences are helping to support the inclusion of more women and minorities in filmmaking as well as the creation of films with diverse themes.

About This Team
I was fortunate enough to put together an amazing team of local Bay Area Filmmakers who have not only won multiple awards and have achieved great accomplishments within the film industry but who also focus on meaningful work.
Christina July Kim is an award-winning actor, director, and producer. She started directing because she wasn’t getting the opportunities that she wanted as an actor and gravitates towards uplifting stories. Having worked multiple jobs in various industries all her life, she founded the Silicon Valley International Film Festival because she wanted to merge her tech world with her filmmaking world. It is her passion to connect people who work in tech with filmmakers.
Tony Gapastione is a filmmaker who lives in the Bay Area with his wife and three daughters. He runs BraveMaker a film collective that elevates brave stories for diversity and inclusion.
Ed Ng is a Director and Cinematographer who understands his craft serving the commercial and narrative world. He is a solutions-oriented person and has many disciplines which have been an advantage on productions.
Scotty is a screenwriter who is also an award-winning filmmaker and producer. He’s been a Bay Area filmmaker for over thirty years and is currently deeply involved in post-production on his first feature film project (Seven by Seven: San Francisco Stories).
