The Story
Our story begins in the middle of an unspecified waiting room. It is filled with a sense of anticipation and the muffled sounds of protesters outside.
The camera becomes the vehichle for connection as we travel through the waiting room.
There is a sense of circumstantial unification and silent support among the strangers.
Our film investigates the stigma surrounding abortion - who has them and why.
Statistics show that one out of every three women under the age of 45 will have an abortion. It's time we opened up a healthy dialogue about pro-choice issues and strive for greater access to abortions that are safe, legal and affordable.
We understand that this is a sensitive topic and that's exactly why we're drawn to it. Everyone involved in our film is passionate about telling this story in the most honest and human way. Ultimately, abortion is not so much a political or religious issue as it is a human one.

The creative team of "Wait" is inspired to tell stories that create a sense of hope and challenge common gender sterotypes through a female-driven lens. We are almost an entirely female crew and cast and are so grateful to have a team of people who believe in telling authentically human stories.
