Rex Ripper is the legendary prodigy of the heavy metal band DevilBreath. Thirty years later, he's a broken man who's just been fired by his own band. With the help of a (possibly) dead groupie, Rex rediscovers what's really important in life.

Story
About The Project
You Are in Bedford, Man began as an educational project. As a professor at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, I was working with a group of graduate cinematographers. The project was simple: we got some rolls of 35mm film, a grip truck, some lights and a Panavision camera. It was only supposed to be an exercise. But as a producer with a decade of experience, I learned you never let 35mm film go to waste.
I called in favors to professional actors. I recruited the producing team from my current feature Simple Kind of Man. I got a great deal on a hotel. The result was You Are in Bedford, and I went through all the extra effort in order to show my students how imagination and a little resourcefulness can always exceed expectations.
This project was supposed to be fun, so I wrote a comedy. But like any good comedy, there's a serious message below. You end up where you want to end up. As nasty, bitter Rex dreams in the middle of the night with the spaced-out hippie Cat, these are two characters who are products of their choices. The dilemmas they find themselves are in no small measure a product of their own making. For better or worse, they are who they are, consequences be damned.

OK OK...maybe you've got enough heavy metal in your life. We get it (not really). We understand (weird). So how about this: a donation of $200 will get you your own original cello composition from our Composer Marshall McDaniel:
• Original cello composition for you, your spouse, your flying V guitar...
• An ASSISTANT PRODUCER CREDIT
• Invite to donors-only screening of You Are in Bedford, Man in early 2015. Ayss of Spaydzzz!
Marshall's no ordinary cello man. The man's a prodigy, like Yngwie Malmsteen but on the cello (and less of a d**k). He's composed and led chamber groups in both the U.S. and Germany, studied under the masters of the instrument. He is a master of the instrument, damn it.

Alright, we'll do this one. Maybe all the heavy metal and t-shirts and happy, smiling kids ain't enough for you. Maybe you're trying to make your own movie. OK, that's cool...we just hope it's about heavy metal.
Anyway, Writer/Director Justin Wolske will pre-produce one lucky person's short project (up to 30 min.). He will deliver:
• Script Breakdown, Shooting Schedule and Production Budget
• Full consultation on building Production Binder
• ASSOCIATE PRODUCER CREDIT
• Invite to donors-only screening of You Are in Bedford, Man in early 2015. Alcoholica!
Justin Wolske is a professional producer who has produced for MTV, Reebok, AOL, Crunchyroll and many other companies around the world. He teaches the subject of line producing at a graduate level. He does this stuff all the time. He should probably get back to it.
