Ana Carrizales is Peruvian-Canadian writer, filmmaker & producer. She has produced a number of award-winning narrative and documentary shorts that have garnered international recognition. Her latest work includes, The Shipment (short, 2019) screened in Tribeca, Palm Springs and Hollyshorts & The Day Don Died (short doc, 2019), premiered at Hot Docs and Palm Springs, Media Luna (2018) screened at Vancouver Latin American Film Festival & Women in Film and Television International Fim Festival and the experimental pieces Hush, Hush Little Doll and The Panties Project.
In her films, she explores female characters at the centre of the action who for better or worse take ownership of their own destiny.
