Hey, I'm Brandi Nicole!

Atlanta, Georgia

Brandi Nicole Payne is an actor, writer and “artivist" from California by way of Las Vegas, who now splits her time between Atlanta and LA. An HBO Access Writing Fellowship alum, her work has been featured on television and has won multiple awards at film festivals across the country. Muted, a short film she wrote and produced about media discrepancy when a child of color goes missing, starring Chandra Wilson and Malcolm-Jamal Warner was acquired by HBO and selected for the Ryan Murphy Half Initiative Program. You can now stream it on Seed&Spark.

As one of three filmmakers chosen for the inaugural Emergence Program (a camera and equipment grant for female filmmakers), Brandi recently made her directorial debut with her short film Aloha, which was crowdfunded on Seed & Spark and supported by a grant from Grant Larson Productions. Brandi was recently featured on CW's Dynasty and can next be seen starring in the indie feature The Mentor.

In her personal life, Brandi is married and has three sons. She serves as a Sexual Assault Victim's Advocate with Day League and is a proud member of RAINN'S Speakers Bureau. Brandi's goal as a writer, filmmaker and actor is to use story to bring together community and transform pain into power.
