Hey, I'm Bronwen!

Brooklyn, New York

I am award-winning Film and Theatre Director, Writer, and Producer. I currently divide my time between NYC and North Carolina.

I try to practice the art of shokunin when I create stories. The shokunin has a social obligation to work his/her best for the general welfare of the people. This obligation is both spiritual and material, in that no matter what it is, the shokunin’s responsibility is to fulfill the requirement. – Tasio Orate

I think laughter, hope, and kindness are powerful forms of social activism.

I love capturing the moments when one thing becomes another... when a chuckle becoming a belly laugh, when interest becoming indifference, when confusion becoming delight.

I have an almost irrational love of pie. Almost irrational.

I'm always motivated by Nelson Mandela's quote:

In 2016, my first screenplay, Tunnels Above Ground, was produced (I also directed the film). I'm in pre-production for two feature films ... including “Magpie” which is currently campaigning through Seed and Spark: www.seedandspark.com/fund/magpie#story

Projects currently in development: Interior, Brooklyn (feature film), El Parador (Working Title) an episodic comedy, and a feature film version of my play (A Savage, Simple)
