Courtney Hope Thérond is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where her short film Sex & German Grammar won awards for screenwriting and cinematography. After graduation she completed a Cinereach Film Fellowship focusing on social justice filmmaking. She has screened short films at several festivals, including Palm Springs, Indie Memphis, Sidewalk, Tallgrass, and Citizen Jane. The screenplay for her digital series Between Us Girls was a finalist in the 2016 Screencraft pilot launch competition, at the 2016 Austin Film Festival, and winner of Cinestory 2017.
