Hey, I'm Daniel!
New York, New York
Daniel is a multi award winning emerging filmmaker who found his reality through the lenses of contrast from the many genres he's crossed.
During his formative years while working for acclaimed NY producer Ben Barenholtz (Barton Fink), he wrote/produced and directed several diversified short films. This included his first short which toured German theaters as part of the “BLUE HEARTS OF N.Y.” traveling festival of short films ( MOP Distribution, Germany.)
Since then, Daniel's short films have been well received on the festival circuit, earning recognition from many regional screenings throughout the U.S. along with a premiere at the Slamdance Film Festival. Daniel finished the festival circuit in 2011 showcasing LALO, which was awarded for BEST SHORT FILM at the HBO/NY Latino International Film Festival and went on to be nationally broadcast on the SiTV/Nuvo Tv cable network.
Currently Daniel is showcasing his experimental works ("Amusingly Quirky"- New York Times) in galleries & museums abroad while also completing a festival tour with his first narrative feature, H.O.M.E., produced by Darren Dean (TANGERINE, THE FLORIDA PROJECT) starring Mexican Ariel winner, Jesús Ochoa. Since its premiere at the Museum Of Moving Image in NYC (Queens World Film Festival 2016), H.O.M.E. has been well received with multiple festival awards & press.
