Jason Hood found inspiration to write Pair of Normals from a series of previous necessity-driven living situations and an all-night binge of especially surreal ASMR videos. He previously directed the dramedy web series Life After Fat (NYC Web Fest 2014, Toronto Web Fest 2015) and several music videos including Agent Ribbons' Jamaica and the Wishing Shrine (Coney Island Film Festival 2013). Jason studied filmmaking at The University of Texas at Austin and moved to Brooklyn in 2010, where he created the short music series "All New York's a Venue" and joined The Filmshop.
