Hey, I'm Mallorie!

Mallorie B. Ortega is an award winning director, writer, and food lover. She was recently awarded the Television Academy Foundation Directing Internship, shadowing Emmy-winning directors from Jimmy Kimmel Live, NCIS, Grey's Anatomy, and Hairspray Live.

In May of 2016, she graduated from USC School of Cinematic Arts, earning her MFA in Film and Television Production. Mallorie was selected to direct the prestigious school funded Advanced Production Project in the Fall of 2015 - a rom com musical called Mango Sticky Rice featuring original music and an all Asian-American cast.

Mango Sticky Rice won awards from the Asians on Film Festival 2016 including Best Ensemble, Best Comedy, and Best Director. The film was also nominated for Best Comedy, Best Production Design, and was the only female to be nominated as Best Director at the First Look Film Festival 2016. The film was also an official selection of the San Diego Asian Film Festival, the Sacramento Asian Pacific Film Festival and featured in San Francisco at the Variety Theatre.
