Hey, I'm Matt!

Boston, Massachusetts

A Chipotle addict and DVD-aholic. I eat, breathe, and sleep film; it's a problem. I have been making films since I got my first camcorder at age 8, and I've been addicted since. I have always been very creative and imaginitive. When I was younger I drew thousands of creatures, and now I make films. I've always wanted to put the ideas in my head out there for other people to see.

I made videos through highschool, and it wasn't until college when I made my first film that wasn't a silly little sketch. It was life changing to see the images in my head almost exactly translated to images on the screen. Now I have written and directed over fifteen short films, written three feature films, and directed a sitcom pilot while at Quinnipiac University, and am in the process of writing two more features.

My dream is to move to Los Angeles to pursue filmmaking after college because I fell in love with the city and industry after interning on the Sony lot at The Montecito Picture Company where I did script coverage. I also have attended the Sundance Film Festival each year in film school, which made me fall in love with the independant film industry as well.

On the side I have also been Writer, AD, DP, AC, Camera Op, and PA on feature films, short films, commercials, corporate events, and other visual media. I have worked for companies such as The History Channel, NBC, IBM, Reebok, Grey Goose, and Bigelow Tea as well. My film was also accepted on the show NESN Next Producer, where it was broadcasted in a competition against other local, college-level filmmakers.

I'd say 75% of my life is dedicated to something related to film, and the other 25% is filled with eating Chipotle, ice cream, strombolis, and reubens. I am also obsessed with collecting DVD's (I have 966 and counting), and hope one day my films will make it on other people's shelves.

Favorite Directors: Denis Villenueve, Quentin Tarantino, Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan, Sidney Lumet, Martin Scorsese, Stanley Kubrick, David Fincher, Richard Linklater, Terry Gilliam, The Coen Brothers, Ridley Scott, Brian De Palma, and Paul Thomas Anderson.
