Hey, I'm Rishi!
Dobbs Ferry, New York
I'm a second generation Indian immigrant to the African continent, but a first generation American immigrant. I grew up in Côte d'Ivoire up to the age of thirteen before moving to the New York. From a young age I fell in love with film. The first films that really gave me an idea of the power of cinema were the films of Akira Kurosawa. I saw the Kurosawa classic Yojimbo in the fourth grade and was forever changed. Some of my biggest influences since have been Wong Kar Wai, Barry Jenkins and Maisel Brothers. In my day to day I'm a freelance cinematographer and video editor. I recently did a humorous spec ad which can be seen here
