Hey, I'm Sahand!

Sahand Nikoukar is a filmmaker, artist, and Adjunct Lecturer at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, teaching concepts of sound recording and post-production. He is currently in production on his first feature film, DRIVER113, a psychological noir thriller about surveillance, paranoia, and technology.


His USC graduate thesis film, THE MAGIC SHOES, has been awarded the Triumph Award by the Peter Glenville Foundation, a Silver Remi at WorldFest Houston, Best of Festival and Audience Choice at the Laguna Film Festival, Best Narrative Film at the Sundial Film Festival, and a Grand Festival Prize at the Berkeley Video & Film Festival. It has played at numerous domestic and international film festivals, including TIFF Kids, Starz Denver, Cleveland International, and the Doha Film Institute.


Other credits include Supervising Sound Editor & Mixer on THE GAMBLE HOUSE, a documentary feature directed by Don Hahn that aired on PBS, Associate Producer & Co-Editor on THEN THERE WAS JOE, an independent feature film by Writer/Director Justin Warren, and Producer on SANCTITY, a short film by Writer/Director Eric Adrian Marshall.


Sahand was born in Berlin, Germany and moved to Southern California with his family at an early age. He has a BA in Film and Theater from UC Berkeley, and received an MFA in Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California. He resides in Pasadena, CA.
