Hey, I'm Travis!

3,800 Earned

New Haven, Connecticut

Travis is a senior at Yale University, majoring in Film Studies.

Born in Brooklyn, and raised in Staten Island, by a loud, quirky family, I am a filmmaker, photographer, and writer inspired by the very comical and sometimes serious people in my life. This started at an early age when my mom thrust a camera into my hands to record a family function. Little did she know that I would love it, and would be sticking that same camera in people's faces for years to come.

As I got older, I found myself performing in and later writing/directing theater productions. Film and video art became a way of putting together my two passions for images and narrative.

Since holding that camera for the first time as a kid, I have gone on to wear multiple hats on various student film productions, serving as a Producer, Director, Director of Photography, Editor, and an occasional writer. These range from narrative to documentary shorts, to music videos. I have also worked as the primary filmmaker on online content for several emerging organizations and businesses, as well as promotional material for the Yale University Admissions Office and the Association of Yale Alumni. I occasionally participate in theater productions, acting in a couple Yale Productions, and most recently serving as the projection designer of UNDER, a new musical headed to Fringe NYC 2015 and the Assistant Projections Designer for the Yale Dramatic Association's 2015 production of Merrily We Roll Along. Beyond my own work, I spent the past two-and-a-half years as the executive director of Bulldog Productions, Yale's only student film production company, and I continue to serve on board and as festival coordinator for the Yale Film Alliance

I love working on projects that take everyday life occurrences and turn them into funny, often bizarre situations; I have my family to thank for that.
