A love letter to New York City that follows two stories: a missing young man with Asperger’s Syndrome who seeks refuge in the underground labyrinth of the city and a gambling Ecuadorian livery driver and Chinese woman desperate to get home to her sick child.

Director's statement
As my first feature, H.O.M.E. is a very personal film. The social realist concept came from a need for us as individuals to reach out, be present and communicate with each other. Living in a tech advanced world has brought us closer yet we are increasingly solitary. An underdeveloped culture in an overdeveloped society. Inspired by true events, I decided to make the film based on the need to raise this awareness. The stories which unfold within the setting of New York City ultimately reveal the barriers that prevent the characters from encountering this. Whether they are linguistic, cultural, cognitive or behavioral, each one proceeds along their physical journey through the city's landscape while navigating a path to understanding the importance of their connections. Shining a light on these underrepresented communities and disabilities, it was important to turn my camera onto these immigrant characters who truly represent the fabric of the population in the boroughs of New York.
