Director's statement

We produced this film to amplify the voices of the people who joined in solidarity at Women’s Marches around the US, and to explore what it means to stand up for your values in America today. Our filmmaking team believes in inclusivity and equality, and always strives to hold and include these values in our work. With this film, we knew that is more important than ever. We strived to include diverse perspectives in the film itself and throughout the filmmaking process – in gender, race, religion, and beyond. For all our team members, and particularly for the white men on our team, the work of this film is to help amplify the many voices and the personal stories that aren’t heard often enough – and to show up ourselves, for women’s rights and human rights.

Reviews

Without a doubt, Women's March: A Documentary Film is a relevant one. It is helpful to induce thoughts and actions, and it will surely offer the opportunity to debate the subject of human rights and democracy.

Anthropology Book Forum

Recommended. Tells the impactful stories of five diverse women who participated in marches in Washington, D.C., Boston, San Francisco, Oakland, and Santa Rosa...A fine documentary that captures the enormous energy and passion of women (and men) engaging in democratic activism on an historic day.

Video Librarian

Appeals to an audience of marchers and would-be marchers who wish to hear from some of their fellow participants.

Educational Media Reviews Online

[TrimTab Media]'s Women's March does not disappoint. Even though the subject is big, the extraordinary feeling of humanity that carried our hearts through the streets that day weaves gracefully through the film.

Sonoma County Gazette

Excellent and well done! This film successfully captures the essence of the Women's March from different cities around the nation as well as insightful interviews from participants.
