The Story
“We become not a melting pot but a beautiful mosaic.”
Remember the time someone finally stopped you from saying “That’s so gay”? What about your mansplaining, ableist commentary, or waxing white fragility? This is a series about that lightbulb moment. The “Oh Shit,” that follows when you realize you’ve been that person. UP&UP celebrates empowering ourselves and inviting others to become catalysts for change by bringing the untold eperiences of unique and minority identities to life.

WHY?
We believe the stories worth making are the ones created and told by those who have fought to have a voice. They are the stories you've never heard from people you may have never met that challenge preconceptions on every level. Why do people choose They/Them/Their pronouns? There are Autistic people who love hugging? Deaf and deaf are two different things? How can you be Trans and also Gender Fluid? UP&UP brings stories straight from the source and portrayed by those who's personal experience brings a deeper understanding to the screen.

Filmed and based in NYC, UP&UP involves artists from all over the country from LA to Chicago to New Haven Connecticut. No matter the episode or story being told we commit to keeping the world of UP&UP diverse both on and off camera. Learn more about us under The Team section here on Seed&Spark!
